Sequential Animation Reviews, News and Interviews
No comic escapes the discerning gaze of Michael Vance and Mark Allen
Comics Legend: Jim Lange - "[An] editorial cartoonist for the Daily Oklahoman newspaper in Oklahoma City since 1950. That means folks outside of Oklahoma probably don't know Lange's work even though he's drawn more than 17,000 cartoons." Marital Blitz - "How could it not be funny and be about the five stages of marriage: Bride and Groom, Newlyweds, Young Marrieds, Proud Parents, and Old Marrieds [sic, The Living Dead, ed.]?" Jezebel Jade - "Writer William Messner-Loebs pens a wonderfully engrossing tale that holds the reader from beginning to end." Fantastic Four: Imaginauts - "...to be clear, we're talking about something [here] which is derivative of nothing you've seen in television or movies. Is that enough incentive enough for you?"

Silent Hill Poster Contest
Fancy yourself an artist?
Here's your chance to prove it and get some great exposure!

The eerie and deserted ghost town of Silent Hill draws a young mother desperate to find a cure for her only child’s illness.  Unable to accept the doctor’s diagnosis that her daughter should be permanently institutionalized for psychiatric care, Rose (Radha Mitchell) flees with her child, heading for the abandoned town in search of answers – and ignoring the protests of her husband (Sean Bean).  It's soon clear this place is unlike anywhere she's ever been.  It's smothered by fog, inhabited by a variety of strange beings and periodically overcome by a living Darkness that literally transforms everything it touches. As Rose searches for her little girl, she begins to learn the history of the strange town and realizes that her daughter is just a pawn in a larger game.

TriStar Pictures is inviting fans and amateur artists to design the official movie poster for the highly anticipated feature film Silent Hill, set for release in theaters nationwide on April 21, 2006.  For the first time ever, entrants will also be able to view their posters via mobile telephone and encourage friends via text blasts to participate from their own wireless devices.

Fans can enter the contest at WelcomeToSilentHill.com where they will be able to download creative elements from the film (photography stills, title treatment and billing block) to create their own Silent Hill poster design.  Deadline for entries is January 3, 2006 and all valid entries will be posted to the website on Jan 4th for online and WAP site voting to begin.

On Jan17th, 2006, TriStar Pictures will review the 50 posters with the most votes for a selection of five finalists. The finalists will be posted on January 20th and fans will cast their votes for the winner. The winning poster will be announced on February 22 and then displayed in theaters across the country prior to the release of the film.

Hey haunted house fans, only 296 days until the Denver Haunted House season starts! Sounds like this movie might help hold you over until then.
