Lock the doors. Assume you're safe.

The horrifying events that took place in the Hoyt family's vacation home 1801 Clark Road on February 11, 2005 are still not entirely known. Champagne. Rose Petals. Candlelight. It was supposed to be a night of celebration for Kristen McKay and James Hoyt. But after leaving a friend's wedding and returning to the house, everything had collapsed for the happy couple.

Then came a 4 a.m. knock on the door and a haunting voice.

Is Tamara here?

As always, we encourage you to bring a canned food donation with you for our charity, The Food Bank of the Rockies. Thank you!

Here are the quick links to get you started:

The 13th Door Haunted House - $15.95 per person
Curse of Slaughterhouse Gulch Haunted House - $15.95 per person
The Butcher Haunted House - $15.95 per person

Triple Play Haunted House Combo (three haunted houses) - $34.95 per person
Home Run Haunted House Combo (four haunted houses) - $44.95 per person

We are often asked about age limits for our haunted houses. Here's a good rule of thumb: If someone doesn't like to get scared, they shouldn't be going to a haunted house. We are PAID to scare people. When a group of people is walking through our haunted houses, our actors will attempt to scare each and every member of that group.

We don't try to touch you, but it might happen if you run into someone. We aren't interested in hurting you, we just want to scare you. That's why we don't offer refunds - it's our job to scare you, if you don't make it in, or you chicken out early, we will take it as a complement and thank you for your money.

Pumpkin CanibalHalloween Home Stretch
Only a few days left to get scared!

The haunted houses are really scaring people good. All our haunted houses are getting the best ratings we've ever had from the people that count - our customers. Not to say that the press hasn't been excited too! We are proud that our exit surveys show we're getting with almost unanimously high rankings on our most important tracking indicators - like scary and entertaining.

When you come, please remember to bring a canned food donation - it helps the hungry and gets you $1 off your ticket too.

Thankfully, the weather is cooperating and we expect tonight to be our biggest single day so far. Out at The Denver Botanic Gardens, we'll be swamped with the thousands of people coming out to take a stab at the Botanic Corn Maze, The Butcher and The Black Hole.

We have some great goodies to give away tonight. There are plenty of Twilight posters and some cool Saw V stuff to give away. Be sure to ask at the ticket booths at The 13th Door, Curse of Slaughterhouse Gulch or The Butcher. We suggest you wait until you complete your journey through the haunted houses - it's likely that your poster wouldn't survive the strangle hold you'd put on it - if you tried to carry it with you through the haunted house.

Pride and Glory Starland ScreeningPride and Glory Starland Screening
Tuesday, October 21, 7pm

Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight and Noah Emmerich star in Pride and Glory, a gritty and emotional portrait of a multi-generational police family who find themselves on opposite sides of an incendiary corruption scandal in the New York City Police Department.

Four New York City cops are dead, killed in an ambush that has the entire police department on alert and on edge. With a cop killer on the loose and so much riding on the case, Chief of Manhattan Detectives Francis Tierney, Sr. (Jon Voight) asks his son, Detective Ray Tierney (Edward Norton), to lead the investigation. Reluctantly Ray takes over the case knowing the cops who were lost had served under his brother, Francis Tierney, Jr. (Noah Emmerich), and alongside his brother-in-law, Jimmy Egan (Colin Farrell).

On the surface, it looked like a routine drug bust gone terribly, tragically wrong. But as Ray delves deeper into the case, he realizes someone had to have tipped off the drug dealers that the cops were coming. Someone on the inside. Worse, the evidence starts to point in an unthinkable direction: to his own brother and brother-in-law.

As the questions mount, the case forces the family to choose between their loyalties to one another and their loyalties to the department.

You can read more information about the movie at http://www.prideandglorymovie.com/.

This movie has been rated R. You must be at least 17 years of age to attend the screening. To get tickets, visit GOFOBO.COM/RSVP and enter the code STAR9974 to download your complimentary passes while they last.

Denver Haunted House UpdateDenver Haunted House Update

All our haunted houses are up and running! The expansions and upgrades we've made at The 13th Door and The Curse of Slaughterhouse Gulch have been getting rave reviews. Our new ending scare sequence at 13th Door is really intense and people are really impressed with the level of the acting and creepiness of the new characters we've added. Slaughterhouse has notibly added Sweeney Todd and Bloody Mary rooms this year.

Over at the Chatfield Botanic Gardens Corn Maze, we are getting fantastic reviews. Every group I've talked to says it's really intense and one of or the most scary haunted houses in Denver. Specifically, I'm hearing that they love that the effects are so in-your-face. I've also been getting a lot of girls reporting that the actors are hot... I'm not so sure about that response, but we'll take it as a good thing. Incredibly, we are still expanding The Butcher even more this week and we'll be adding more scares and finishing touches over the next few weeks. Right now the length of the haunt is averaging 20 minutes in length. Having that kind of flexibility with our tractor trailer system makes it a really dynamic haunted house. A common response is how blown-away people are at the shear size of the haunted house - it's almost as big as a football field!

Oh, how about a haunted house discount you say? Click here.
