Land of the LostLand of the Lost
Tuesday, June 2nd @ 7PM
UA Pavilions, 500 16th St, Denver

Space-time vortexes suck. Has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall is sucked into one and spit back through time. Way back. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world - a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost.

Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly and a redneck survivalist named Will. Chased by a T-Rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestaks, Marshall, Will and Holly must rely on their only ally - a primate called Chaka to navigate out of the hybrid dimension. If they escape from this routine expedition gone awry and they will be heroes. If they get stuck, they'll be permanent refugees in the Land of the Lost.

StarFest 9 Balcony ChallengeMore Photos Online
StarFest is the convention that just keeps on giving...

It's a lot of fun getting together for StarFest every year. We (the staff) really get excited when people participate and make things better for everyone. That's what Kelly Anthony and his nephew Nick did this year.

Kelly wrote to us about the fantastic time he had with his nephew. He said that they decorated their balcony in the hotel together. That is the kind of participation we love. Together, they came up with a great theme and spent some time to made the weekend special. To top it all off, they then sent us some photos of their handiwork. Thank you Kelly and Nick for making our day! You can click on the photo to get a bigger picture of their efforts. You can also view tons of other pictures from StarFest in our Starland Photo Gallery.

Brent Spiner InterviewBrent Spiner Interview at StarFest
Putting together some "Data" on previous visits

Christopher sits down with Brent to chat about his StarFest conventions past. It's interesting that his impression is that the attendance at some of his previous conventions was larger. While weather did affect the attendance at this year's convention, attendance at StarFest has been steadily growing over the years. What has changed is the focus of the show. StarFest now encompasses much more than just science fiction and the crowds are very evenly distributed throughout the venue, even during our big guest appearances. Gone are the days of everyone at the convention crowding into the Main Events Room for the guest speakers. In fact, the Trailer Park segment is now our biggest single attraction for the weekend.
