Do you have what it takes to be a Starcon Survivor? Well, here is your chance to find out. Twenty contestants will compete in various events at the convention and face various challenges on their way to a cool million - million Italian Lira that is. To qualify, you must have a weekend membership to the convention and complete your convention registration card by 9am on Saturday morning. Twenty contestants will be randomly selected from entries by one of our lovely guests at 10am on Saturday morning in the Main Events room and then the competition will begin! Contestants will receive prizes throughout the competition. In the event that challenge events end in a tie, there will be a Trivia Playoff to determine the winner of each round. Most challenges will take place on Survivor Island in the Special Events Room.

Challenge Schedule (Military Time)

Saturday

1000 Twenty contestants are selected in the Main Events room.
1030 Contestants meet at Survivor Island and are given their first challenge.
1200 Contestants return, the scores are tallied and then ten will be banished, how sad. Photos are then taken of the 10 remaining challengers and teams are chosen. The teams will then face a Brain Teaser Challenge - the losing team will have to vote one of their members off the island. Castaways receive consolation prizes.
1400 Bug Hunt. Various staff members at the convention will be seeded with bugs. Teams, equipped with bug collectors, will seek them out and collect as many bugs as possible by 1500 hours. Losing team will have to vote one of their members off the island. Boo hoo.
1500 Teams are sent throughout the Special Events room to collect clues for the Chain Quiz. Losing team will have to vote one of their members off the island. We will cry for you.
1600 Long Distance Survivor. Each team is challenged to bring 3 people back to the island with them that have traveled a great distance to the convention (no off-planet attendees are eligible). Proof of residence will be required. 3-points for the furthest visitor, 2-points for 2nd, and 1-point for 3rd. Losing team will banish one member. If only two members of team are left, a trivia contest will determine survivor. Visitors and castaway will receive cheesy departing gifts. Teams are disbanded.
1700 Only six survivors left... It's time for the Tiki Torch Tournament! You'll have 5 minutes to score hoops in this event. Player with the lowest score will be banished from the island. Survivors now get to enjoy some free time until Sunday.

Sunday

1100 People Gathering Challenge. Contestants will need to collect people to the island. Very similar to the Long Distance Survivor Challenge in scoring, but with a different selection criteria. The losing survivor will be banished with much sorrow...
1130 Practice Only. Contestants will attend the juggling instruction with Dwight to practice for the 1pm challenge. No one is eliminated... yet.
1300 Juggling Coconut Challenge. Contestants will compete juggling coconuts. The 1st juggler dropping a coconut is cast away, but receives a week's supply of coconuts!
1400 Limerick Challenge. The three remaining contestants need to write a limerick about their experience. The audience at the island will vote on their favorite. Lots of applause for the departing bad poetry writer.
1500 Brief presentations by the two final survivors on Why I Deserve To Win A Million. The previous castaways will vote on the winner. Audience support is encouraged. The formal presentation of the 1,000,000.00 in cash will follow on the Main Events Stage.
