Anime
Japanese animation is one of the staples of Starfest and Starcon. The schedule
for this convention is posted on the schedules page. Visit the Denver
Anime International website for more
information on the group.
The Art of Presenting your Costumes
Making your costume is just the first step.
How you wear it and what you do with it when you're on stage for the costume
contest is the true test. A so-so costume with an excellent presentation can be
a winner on stage. An excellent costume with a bad presentation can be a loser.
Learn how to get the most out of your costumes. Presented by the Millennium
Costumers Guild. Visit our costume display in the Activities Room or online at http://members.home.net/dragonart4/index/RMCG.html
Art
Show
We want to encourage all you budding artists to enter the Starcon 2001 Artshow.
Past entrants have included James Cukr, whose work is pictured here. The Art
Show, Model show, and Demonstrations will all be held in the hotel section of
the Events center. No pre-registration for the Art show is necessary, your art
work can be entered at any time during the convention. Enter your science
fiction, fantasy, portraits, 3-D, sculpture or any related artwork. For all the
art show rules and information go to www.starlandartshow.com.
Autograph Sessions
The autograph sessions take place in the Activities Room. There are two lines
for each guest, one for Platinum Card People and another one for everyone else.
The two lines alternate. Autograph times for guests (when we know) will be
posted at their autograph table. Keep in mind, the convention does not decide
the autographing times for the guests - they do. The times are subject to change
or cancellation at their whim. We encourage all the actors to sign autographs
for at least an hour, however, it is at their discretion. Some of the actors
sell photos and/or their autographs to raise money for various charities. In the
event there are long lines for a particular celebrity, we ask that you have only
one item signed so as many people as possible are able to get an autograph.
