    Without a doubt, Kari Wuhrer is one of the most photogenic guests that has ever appeared at one of the Starcon/Starfest conventions! Thank you Kari. It sure looks like you had a great time - we did.

    Kari's infectious energy and excitement was really contagious. She made it real easy for us to find our security personnel - they were always following Kari anywhere she went. Judging from the number of photos Wayne (our photographer) took, he spent quite a deal of time with her too.

    Kari wasn't one of those guests that just shows up prior to their time and stage and looks for action elsewhere as soon as they are off the stage. Kari made the action everywhere she went AT THE CONVENTION. I don't think anyone was turned away at her autograph table. Kari said after the convention that she was able to raise a couple thousand dollars for St. Jude's Hospital selling her photos.

    After hours, Kari even stayed up late to watch Blade in the video room. It turns out her travel companion appeared in the movie and they wanted to see her performance!

Kari's Stats:

     Kari is best known as Maggie Beckett on Sliders, Kari just released a new CD of song recordings. Most recently, Kari co-starred with Jennifer Lopez and Jon Voight in Anaconda. She has appeared in John Singleton's Higher Learning, The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson, An Occasional Hell with Tom Berenger, and under Sean Penn's direction as Jack Nicholson's liaison in The Crossing Guard. She was seen opposite Joe Mantegna in Thinner, adapted from a ghoulish tale from author Stephen King, and in Doug Ellins' Kissing a Fool opposite David Schwimmer. More recently, Wuhrer has filmed Phoenix co-starring Ray Liotta and Anjelica Huston and The Ivory Tower with James Wilder and Patrick Van Horn. Additionally, she will be seen in the upcoming Sex and the Single Man with Stanley Tucci and Ron Eldard, as well as Sand with Emilio Estevez and Denis Leary and Touch Me with Amanda Peete and Michael Vartan. The busy actress also stars in Undertaker's Wedding opposite Adrien Brody which was recently accepted at the Montreal Film Festival.

     A Brookfield, Conn. native, Kari moved to New York when she was eighteen to follow her passion for acting. Wuhrer was picked by the Ford Talent Agency and proceeded to study and audition in the Big Apple.

     Kari currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband who is a songwriter. You can see a life-size version of her in 7-11, she's the Slurpee Angel!
