Richard Arnold

Working as Gene Roddenberry's personal assistant and liaison with the licensing department for years, Richard has an intimate relationship with Star Trek. Richard has been working as a Star Trek consultant to several Star Trek licensees over the last few years and has helped select and reject many of the images and products produced for the property.

Richard is an incredible Star Trek Trivia expert and you'd be hard-pressed stumping him. I've tried! He knows Star Trek. If you have a question related to just about anything Trek - he's the guy to settle the bet.

Christie Golden

Author of the Voyager novels: The Murdered Sun, Marooned and Seven of Nine, as well as The Next Generation--Double Helix #6: The First Virtue with Michael Jan Friedman, just out this month. She's also written for the TSR Ravenloft line and did the novels for the anime TV show, Invasion America. Christie was at Starfest in April and is looking forward to meeting you at Starcon.

Michael Goodwin

The best complement you can give Michael is to acknowledge him as an artist. His whole life, Michael has been trying to fulfill his concept of that title. He's somewhat embarrassed that he's made a living his entire life on his skills. Perhaps because his vision of art is of some guy starving while producing a masterpiece.

Michael's acrylic paintings of Starships and Alien Planets have been graced book covers all over the World. I think his greatest talent lies in his humor - as evidenced in his My Stars comic strip and books. My favorite comedy piece he's produced was a painting of the seven dwarfs on a moon chanting "Io - Io - it's off to work we go..."

Michael will be available during the convention in the Activities Room. Look him up and look-up his art in the Art Show.

Penny Juday

Penny is a true Star Trek Insider. For the last several years she has worked as a Project and Art Coordinator on Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek VI, and Star Trek: Deep Space 9. She is the Museum Curator for the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas and has worked on several Star Trek book projects organizing materials for publication.

Penny is currently the Project Coordinator for The Star Trek Magazine and deals with everything Star Trek on a daily basis. Penny, working side-by-side with Production Designer: Herman Zimmerman has guided numerous Star Trek projects at Paramount Pictures literally from the drawing board.

Look for some incredible insights into the World of Star Trek from Penny - she knows it all!

DaveMcDonnell.JPG (12253 bytes)Dave McDonnell

Dave plays at being the Editor of Starlog Magazine. It must be really hard to go to work when your job is getting all the latest news and information on the World of Science Fiction.  That's what Dave has to do on a daily basis.  It really wouldn't be a Starcon or Starfest convention without Dave and his incredible encyclopedic knowledge of science fiction.  Dave will be speaking with cousin Jeff Walker in the Main Events room on Saturday and Sunday.

Jeff Walker, Hollywood's top Sci-Fi Consultant, is returning to Starcon. How would you like to work with guys like Steven Spielberg, Dean Devlin, and James Cameron?,  That's Jeff's job!  He's the guy all the big movie studios go to when they want to make a science fiction film.  That's because Jeff has worked on most of the top money making films of all time.  Why wouldn't those guys want him on their team?!!   Count on Jeff to blow your socks off with news and previews!

Kevin Atkins has been Starcon's Master of Ceremonies forever - well not forever, but for as long as anyone can remember.   Unfortunately, most of his jokes are that old too! - Just kidding Kevin. ;)
