Laura Bertram - Trance Gemini on AndromedaLaura Bertram
Laura's character, Trance Gemini, on the syndicated television show Andromeda is a bit of a puzzle. She is obviously much more than she seems - as is the young Laura Bertram. Ironically, she has received two prestigious Gemini Awards as well as three nominations for the award. Her background includes a number of television credits including: Dear America…So Far From Home, Ready or Not, Seasons of Love, Third Eye, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Night of the Twisters, Sins of Silence, and Platinum. Her theater credits include the lead in Cinderella and Mario and the Magician with The Canadian Opera Company. Her training includes seven years study with the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus. Laura will appear onstage at Starfest 2002 on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Brent StaitBrent Stait
Mr. Stait portrays the role of Rev Bem on the hit syndicated science fiction show Andromeda. He plays an alien who acts as the starship's resident scientist, sociologist, linguist and moral guide.

A Gemini Award nominated actor, Stait brings an extensive list of both film and television credits to Andromeda. He starred in The Virginian for TNT, directed by Bill Pullman. Other recent feature and made for television films include H-E Double Hockey Sticks by Disney, The Roswell Project by Credo/UPN, Mystery Alaska by Hollywood Pictures, Five Desperate Hours by NBC, Ellen Foster by CBS Hallmark, Titanic by CBS, I Still Dream of Jeannie by NBC and numerous others.

Stait has also guest starred in a number of television series including Outer Limits, First Wave, Viper, Stargate SG-1, Due South, Poltergeist, The X-Files, Wiseguy, and various others. Stait's stage credits include King Lear, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, and The Merchant of Venice. Brent will appear onstage with Laura Burtram both Saturday and Sunday.
