The good Doctor will be presenting a special seminar at Starfest 2003
For five seasons, Richard portrayed Dr Stephen Franklin on Babylon 5, but that wasn't the first-time he's portrayed a doctor, nor was it to be his last. Prior to Babylon 5, he spent five seasons as Dr. Marcus Hunter on NBC's Days of Our Lives. Since B5, he's played doctor more than once on shows like Forever Love and ER. It might have been some sort of prescience that gave him the childhood aspiration of becoming a physician.

All that changed, however, when at the age of 17, he played "The Wiz" at his local drama club. Richard soon changed his plans of becoming a doctor and was awarded a scholarship from the University of Southern California, where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Fine Arts.

His notable film and TV roles include: Invasion Anime, The Guiding Light, Ablaze, Any Day Now, The Alien Within, Babylon 5 (TV and Movies), One Stormy Night, Days of Our Lives, Walk Like a Man, CSI, JAG, Touched by an Angel, V.I.P., Beverly Hills 90210, The Twilight Zone, and T.J. Hooker. He is currently working on several projects and will be appearing as a recurring character in the new Sci-Fi Channel series Tremors.

Because of the special break-out rooms available at Starfest 2003, we asked Richard to conduct one of his special Introduction to Acting seminars during the show. Anyone with an interest in acting is encouraged to sign-up for the class. The class covers Improvisation, Definition of Character, Objectives & Scene Breakdowns, The Business of Acting and Q&A. It is designed as an interactive class and will be held in two sessions of two hours each, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Class materials will be supplied, you just need to be ready to act. The seminars will take place in the morning on both days, so that they will not interfere with guest speakers appearing on our Main Events stage. Click here to register for the seminar.

Richard will appear onstage on Saturday for Q&A and conduct autograph sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He has family in the Denver area and is really looking forward to returning to Denver.
