Starfleet Academy Crash Course

Deputy Commandant Stevl has announced that the Starfleet Academy Crash Course will once again be offered at Starfest in Denver, April 25-27, 2003 with four all new classes. Both Deputy Commandant Stevl and Dr. T’Nea Kelly are returning as instructors from last year’s program along with two new instructors who will be announced at a later time. This is a rare opportunity for Starfest participants to experience a taste of Academy life.

The courses will include lectures, discussions and presentations, as well as class participation, student projects and a few surprises. Interested participants may attend any or all of the classes, but those who attend all four will be eligible for graduation and other benefits. Career placement is not being offered at this time.

The course offerings for this year are:

Starfleet 102

The introductory class will include an entrance exam, as well as instruction and practice in the fine (and sometimes lost) art of following orders.

Students will learn about advanced Starfleet Engineering methods as they complete a construction project of their own. This class will conclude with graduation ceremonies for those students who have completed all four courses.
