Unfortunately, we just received word from Lexa that she will NOT be able to come to the convention due to professional commitments. She regrets not being able to make it to the show and sends her best wishes and apologies to her fans. We'll try to reschedule her for a future convention.

Her husband, Michael Shanks, IS coming. Please be sure to give him lots of love and support, since he'll be a lonesome guy without his wife this weekend.

Lexa Doig

It is a bit confusing, trying to explain the characters that Lexa Doig portrays on Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. One is Rommie, the physical manifestation of the computer that controls, er is, named Andromeda Ascendant, a ship that flies about the galaxy fighting evil. Her other character is the actual hologram projection of the ship's sophisticated artificial intelligence system. Basically, one does most of the work of flying the ship and the other gets to run around kicking bad-boy butt.

Lexa, short for Alexandra, is no stranger to sci-fi and special effects. Her credits include roles in Jason X, Code Name Phoenix, Tekwar, Earth: Final Conflict and FX: The Series. She just happens to be married to Stargate SG1's Michael Shanks.

Ms. Doig will be signing autographs and participating in our Photo with the Stars Program on Saturday and Sunday and appear on our Main Events stage Sunday, April 17, 2004.
