Portraying Malcolm Reed on Enterprise seems a long journey away for a guy with a history degree. Here’s how it happens: Start acting in college and appear in several stage performances. With a little encouragement you’ll get bitten by the acting bug. Pack your truck for Beverly, hills that is, and land film roles in Jungle 2 Jungle, Almost Famous, and What I Did for Love. Then play a guy named Steve in The Hollywood Sign opposite Rod Steiger, Burt Reynolds and Tom Berenger. That might be simplifying a bit, but that’s basically what Dominic did on his way to playing the Chief of Security for the latest Star Trek series.

His TV credits include Enterprise, Glory Days, Desmond’s, The Immortals, G vs E, Special Unit 2, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Poltergeist: The Legacy.
