Dean Haglund
AKA "Langly" from The Lone Gunmen and The X-Files

For nine seasons, he played the most recognizable of the of the computer geeks known as "The Lone Gunmen" on the hit FOX series The X-Files. The popularity of the trio led to his starring role in the spin-off series The Lone Gunmen.

Dean has been successful with his amazing career in film and television. His television credits include roles in the series VIP Pamela Anderson, Home Improvement, The Commish, Sliders, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the animated series Robocop and The Big Guy. His feature film credits include The X-Files: Fight the Future, Radio Free Steve, Design of Darkness, Rice Girl and the animated feature film Tom Sawyer.

But wait, this guy doesn't just do acting! He is also an inventor. One day, while working on his notebook computer, he discovered that a cold gel pack he was using to ice his knee speeded up his computer. After a bit of diligent research into cutting edge materials that could prevent condensation, he formed his company Geek Chic to market his new invention - The Chill Pak.

A long-time comedy improviser, Dean got his start with the likes of Ryan Stiles and Colin Mockery (Whose Line is it Anyway?) in the internationally award winning Vancouver TheatreSports League. He now regularly performs in Los Angeles with The Groundlings and Second City. He has performed in and hosted at Montreal's world famous Just for Laughs festival and has hosted the Entertainment Media Awards, California Independent Film Festival, and Armenian Independent Film Festival. He writes and performs his own material for corporate gigs and his home comedy club is the world famous The Improv in Los Angeles.

I've mentioned all this because Dean is bringing his World-Class act to Starfest for a very special Friday night event: Dean Haglund Live. You are encouraged to get your tickets early for this one-performance-only show that will have you laughing like a Klingon at an all-you-can-eat Gagh feast. After his performance on Friday night - you'll be able to catch him throughout the convention during his Q&A onstage and during his scheduled autograph and photo sessions.
