Starfest 2005 Katee Sackhoff

Katee Sackhoff grew up in Portland, Oregon and started dance and drama classes at six years of age. Like many aspiring actresses, she started hitting the boards in high school productions. Katee's first TV role was along side Spiderman's Kirsten Dunst in Fifteen and Pregnant. Because of her young age, Katee doesn't have the decades-long resume of some of our other guests, but judging from her work on Battlestar Galactica, you can expect to see a lot of her in the years to come. On the Sci-Fi original series, she plays Lt. Kara Thrace (A.K.A. Starbuck), the cocky, undisciplined fighter pilot, who happens to be the best and most skilled pilot in the fleet.

Her other genre roles have been on the Fox Family Channel series The Fearing Mind, in which she played Lenore, the daughter of horror author Bill Fearing and in 2001 she played Jenna Danzig in Halloween: Resurrection. She's also appeared on The Education of Max Bickford, Duncan, Jack, & Jane, MTV's Undressed and ER.

She comes from a small family (one brother) and says that her father raised her on Star Trek. She fancies herself a bit of a science fiction fan, but fears she wouldn't do too well if pitted against the Sci-Fi Jeopardy experts at Starfest.
