Dom
Testa
Dom Testa has been a radio show host since 1977, and currently is a
co-host of the popular "Dom and Jane Show" on Mix 100 in Denver. A
strong advocate of literacy programs for kids, Dom speaks to more than
500 students each year at area schools. He also hosts writing workshops
for teens at Denver-area libraries. Dom began "The Big Brain Club" to
encourage students to overcome the peer pressure that often prevents
them from achieving their true potential.
His first novel, Galahad 1 was selected as the Grand Prize Winner by Writer's Digest in their "Best Self Published Book" contest. Galahad 1 tells the tale of 251 teenagers on an amazing quest after a deadly comet threatens to end the human race. Fresh on the success of Galahad 1, he has written Galahad 2 - where the crew of Galahad returns to face a deadly encounter with Titan, the mysterious orange moon of Saturn. Dom will host a panel discussion at Starfest on introducing young people to the world of science fiction and read from his books. Find out what it takes to create a successful book series, and how this author has turned his passion for children’s literacy into an exciting book series. There will be lots of laughs, and plenty of time for Q&A. More information can be found at www.domtesta.com or www.bigbrainclub.com. |
