There have been few times in the last 23 years when Starfest and Starcon have been able to have our actors act. Oh, they will often appear in a short comedy skit, but it is rare and special when we have the opportunity to see them do what they do best. That evening's performance of The Lion and The Portuguese was special in so many ways. The next day, many of the people I talked to couldn't stop talking about it.

     I recall one frequent convention attendee telling me that it brought her to tears. What a pleasure it was to see Kate performing with John in such a moving and touching performance.

     Great things are often most memorable by the simple events that occur. That night was no exception. It was with great joy I hurriedly escorted a very pregnant woman to the restroom between acts so she could return to her seat as quickly as possible.

     Unfortunately, due to other fires that needed tending, I was not able to go to Kate's Q&A on Sunday. Hopefully, I hope to be able to post a report on her comments here soon.
