Comedy-Play Presentation
|
Stephen Austin, provided an incredible opening to the play
with his stand-up comedy. It was great having a warm-up act for the
play and Stephen really got everyone used to laughing before our
crew got them groaning. See our alternate
report for more Stephen Austin info...
It's a little-known fact that the conventions would have ended a long time ago if KathE didn't love doing the play parodies. Without the conventions, she wouldn't be able to put them on and torture everyone with her prickly punish poetry. Well, it used to be torture. The play this convention was one of the best executed and funny editions in my short memory. I thought the Ladies Man musical piece was one of the best skits ever performed on the Starcon/Starfest stage. My son Michael Donnelly (as Kirk) was brilliant and on key! Dennis Phillips as Riker did a bang-up job and even the dancing Ladies-Man-Girls where great. |

Myra Coyle - Ladies-Man-Girl |
| Dennis, who edits our play and commercials for sale, has promised (we've heard that before) that he'll get the tape done soon. When it is, you'll see it for sale here. |

Stephen Donnelly, Phil Watson & KathE Walker |
|
|
| That's KathE and Gayle Watson behind Dave Coyle and Phil Watson in the very funny "Who Wants to be a Starfleet Captain?" opening skit. Phil wrote the segment - much to KathE's great relief - she seldom has the play done until a week before the convention. |
