This is exactly like the Federation model featured in the movie. Both the Electronic and Static editions feature an activated pop-up function which is controlled by a metal push-in latch on the side. When engaged, the top section of the unit pops up. It is easily returned to packed status by pushing on the top section and latches with a really cool click. This resin prop comes with metal loops for attachment of the included detachable and adjustable web shoulder strap.

The Electronic edition includes the following additional features:

Front panel 4-segment light display and alternating LED's.
Back panel sequencing green LED display.
Red glowing back display panel.
Digital sound effects.
Fully-integrated on function when top pops up.
